Nintendo's Halloween Screaming Deals slash Switch and Switch 2 game prices by up to 75%

Nintendo's Halloween sale has more to offer than horror games. Alongside familiar seasonal choices such as Resident Evil and Little Nightmares, the Screaming Deals lineup includes strategy games, major RPGs and several acclaimed independent releases.

The promotion began on October 20 and covers selected digital games and downloadable content across Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

The prices below are taken from Nintendo's US storefront and were checked on October 21, 2026. They should not be treated as confirmed European prices, and availability may vary by region.

Little Nightmares leads the horror discounts

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition Complete Edition is listed for $7.49, down from $29.99. That represents a 75% discount on the Nintendo Switch 2 release.

The game follows Six through the Maw, a disturbing environment inhabited by grotesque adults and other dangerous creatures. The Complete Edition includes the Secrets of the Maw expansion content.

Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition is another prominent offer, dropping from $79.99 to $55.99. The discount applies to the named Deluxe Edition rather than every available version of the game.

The Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition & Village Gold Edition bundle is also included, priced at $39.59 instead of $59.99.

Cult of the Lamb provides a different interpretation of Halloween entertainment. Its mixture of action, community management and dark humor is discounted to $9.99 from $24.99.

Civilization VII is half price on Switch 2

Sid Meier's Civilization VII Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available for $34.99, down from $69.99.

The strategy game centers on guiding a civilization through different historical periods, balancing expansion, diplomacy, technology and warfare.

Buyers should pay attention to the edition name. Nintendo specifically lists the Switch 2 version, and its availability should not be confused with a different edition for the original Switch.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is another notable discount, priced at $39.99 rather than $49.99.

The open-world RPG offers a large fantasy setting built around exploration, guild stories, quests and character development. Its 20% discount is smaller, but the game may be more appealing to players seeking a lengthy adventure.

Independent games offer some of the strongest choices

TUNIC is currently listed at $14.99 instead of $29.99. Its charming visual style hides an adventure built around discovery, combat and carefully concealed secrets.

Inscryption is also part of the reported Halloween selection. US deal coverage lists it at $4.99, down from $19.99. Because storefront pricing can change, that figure should be checked on its Nintendo eShop product page before purchase.

ANIMAL WELL has been reduced to $17.49 from $24.99. It emphasizes exploration, environmental observation and puzzles over conventional combat.

Nine Sols is available for $14.99 instead of $29.99, offering demanding action and a distinctive science-fiction setting.

These games demonstrate that a Halloween sale does not need to consist exclusively of supernatural horror. Their shared attraction is the strength of their individual design ideas rather than adherence to a single genre.

Monster Hunter and Persona receive major discounts

Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe is listed at $17.49, down from $69.99. The bundle includes the original game and the substantial Sunbreak expansion in an enhanced package.

Persona 5 Royal is another major reduction at $17.99, compared with its regular $59.99 price.

The role-playing game combines daily life, character relationships and dungeon exploration in a particularly long narrative adventure.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Digital Deluxe Edition has dropped to $20.99 from $69.99, offering a more combat-focused RPG experience centered on demons and elemental weaknesses.

Edition names matter for all these purchases. A Deluxe package, an expansion and a standard edition may include different content, even when their names appear next to each other on the same storefront.

Check platform support before buying

Nintendo is promoting discounts across Switch and Switch 2, but the two storefront categories should not be treated as interchangeable.

Some titles are sold specifically as Nintendo Switch 2 Editions, including Civilization VII and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster. Others are existing Switch releases.

Players should verify the supported console, exact edition and sale expiration before completing a purchase.

Additional content also requires special attention. Nintendo states that the full game is necessary to use applicable DLC and may need to be purchased separately.

The sale ends on Halloween

Nintendo says Screaming Deals ends October 31 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time in the United States.

Some individual offers may have different deadlines. Regional Nintendo eShop listings can also differ in pricing and availability.

For players outside the US, the local storefront remains the authoritative source for the amount charged.

Several discounts are substantial, particularly on established RPGs and smaller independent games. The practical question is whether a game fits the buyer's interests and available time. A 75% discount can be attractive, but it does not make every purchase worthwhile.
